Saint Partick's Day is celebrated around the world on March 17th. It was a caring person who did many good things for Ireland. It is believed that he lived in Ireland and died on March 17th, in the year 460. Every year the Irish and their descendants have celebrations and parades all over the world. There are many traditions that go along with St. Patrick's Day. People will often wear green clothes since it is the color of Ireland. There are often huge parades celebrating the day. As well, many people dance and sing to traditional Irish music. It is quite common for the Irish to share in a glass of beer no matter what day March 17th falls on. The biggest celebrations occur in the US, Canada, Australia, the UK and especially in Ireland. However, even in Taiwan, you will find foreigners celebrating on March 17th.
